NOOR HASNAIN
I'm an aspiring physician exploring how neuroscience, artificial intelligence, and human-machine interfaces could change the way humans perceive, interact with, and augment the world.
The question I'm exploring
What happens when technology can communicate with the human nervous system as naturally as we communicate with computers?
My long-term interest lies in the space between medicine, neuroscience and technology — particularly brain-computer interfaces, augmented perception, neural prosthetics and AI.
What I'm interested in
Neuroscience
Understanding the biological systems that technology ultimately has to interact with.
Brain-Computer Interfaces
Exploring how information can move between nervous systems and machines.
Artificial Intelligence
Learning how computation can interpret complex biological signals and support human-machine interaction.
AR / XR
Exploring new ways humans can perceive, interact with, and manipulate information.
Neuroprosthetics
Understanding where engineering meets restoration and augmentation.
Human Augmentation
Exploring the longer-term possibility of technology expanding human sensory and cognitive capabilities.
Trajectory
Current

Next
Neural signal processing • Computer vision • Human-computer interaction • AR/XR
Later
Neural interfaces • Neuroprosthetics • Sensory augmentation
Long Term
Build technologies that expand human capability.

How I Approach This Work
Curiosity Before Certainty
Understand a problem before claiming to have solved it.
Clinical Relevance Matters
Technology is interesting. Technology that actually helps people is more interesting.
Build Across Disciplines
Important problems rarely respect academic boundaries.
Long-Term Thinking
Some technologies take years or decades to mature.
Where this is going
I don't know exactly what form this work will ultimately take.
Medicine gives me a way to understand the human system.
Engineering gives me a way to build.
Neuroscience gives me a way to understand the interface.
The long-term goal is to bring those disciplines closer together.
Let's build something meaningful.
I'm interested in conversations with researchers, physicians, engineers, students, and builders working around medicine, neuroscience, technology, and human-computer interaction.
